Swaralaya is a group of passionate music lovers whose motto is to enable anyone who has a passion in music to have a learning opportunity regardless of their income, location, personal, family and work commitments etc.

We are privileged to have some of the gifted, experienced and dedicated Carnatic music teachers willing to be a part of Team Swaralaya. Our team includes singers, course content developers, IT specialists and Student Support Managers who work really hard to provide the best available learning experience for our learners.

Currently, Swaralaya has students from many countries such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Malaysia, Middle East and India. His proficiency in nurturing client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction has been honed over years of dedicated service in the renewable energy sector. Recently, he has transitioned to Swaralaya, where he has been making significant contributions for the past two years. Leveraging his extensive experience and technical background, Naveen continues to excel in his role, driving positive outcomes and adding value to Swaralaya's endeavors in his new professional landscape.

Reshma PG

Operations Manager
Reshma PG is a dynamic professional who holds an MBA specializing in Human Resources and Finance from Guruvayurappan Institute of Management in Coimbatore. With a diverse career spanning multiple industries, Reshma has accumulated valuable experience in various facets of operations and public relations. She commenced her journey in the financial sector, serving as an Operations Assistant at Muthoot Finance in New Delhi for over two years. Subsequently, she transitioned into the healthcare domain, where she spent six years as a Public Relations Officer at NIMS Hospital in Malappuram, showcasing her adeptness in client communication and stakeholder management. Currently, Reshma continues to thrive in her career at Swaralaya, where she has been contributing her skills and expertise for the past two years, bringing her wealth of experience to further elevate the organization's endeavors.

Greeshma PG

Greeshma PG is a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from SN College, Varkala. With over a decade of experience in the customer management sector, she has honed her skills and expertise to deliver exceptional service in her field. Greeshma spent the majority of her career at ABET Technologies in Chennai, where she dedicated 12+ years to nurturing client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Her tenure at ABET has equipped her with a deep understanding of client needs and effective problem-solving techniques. Building upon her wealth of experience, Greeshma has now brought her talents to Swaralaya, where she has been contributing her expertise for the past two years, further enhancing the organization's customer management strategies and objectives.

Sanal Kumar

Sanal Kumar is an experienced Carnatic Music Teacher based in Trivandrum, Kerala. He completed his BA Music at Chittur Music College, Palakkad. Sanal Kumar has more than 15 years of experience in taking Carnatic music lessons for kids and adults. Sanal Kumar has been a part of Swaralaya since its foundation in 2020. He enjoys taking basic & advanced classes on Varisas, Geethams, Varnams, Keerthanas, Krithis, Slokas, light music, devotional songs etc. His students often comment on his skills in explaining complex music concepts in a simple way where the learner can understand easily. Sanal Kumar is also a music composer where he had an opportunity to work with many renowned musicians and singers in Malayalam playback industry. Sanal Kumar also has vast performance expertise of over 500 stages to credit.

Reshma Raveendran

Ms Reshma Raveendran is a versatile Carnatic musician by heart. Born in Kollam, Kerala, she learnt Carnatic classical music from Sri Adoor P Sudarsanan Master. She was interested in learning music since her childhood. She later completed her BA Music from SN Women’s College and MA Music Government Women's College, Trivandrum. Reshma has been taking Carnatic music lessons for many years and now is a part of Team Swaralaya. Reshma’s gifted talent was recognised by Kerala Government Department for Cultural Affairs with the “Diamond Jubilee Fellowship for Aspiring Artists” in 2019.

Sivasree S

Sivasree is an experienced Carnatic Music Teacher based in Kollam, Kerala. She is coming from a family with a strong musical background. She is the Niece of famous Mridangist Mangad Jagadeendran. She started her music career at the age of 5 and started doing concerts when she was 15. Siva completed her BA Music at SN COLLEGE Kollam. She also had Post graduation in Carnatic Music from GOVT. WOMEN'S college Trivandrum. Her ambition is to become a College lecturer in Music. Sivasree has more than 7 years of experience in taking Carnatic music lessons for kids and teenagers. She is experienced in teaching Music for the Kerala State Tribal Development Department and served as a music teacher for 3 consecutive years in the public sector. She enjoys taking classes in Slokas, like Vishnusahasranamas & Lalithasahasranamas, Bhajans, Keerthanas, Krithis, light music, devotional songs etc. Siva's strength is a positive attitude towards any kind of pressure; her norms to any solution are consistent and systematic. She believes in learning & practicing music well.

Nisha Bavin

Nisha Bavin is a Carnatic vocalist from Kollam district of Kerala. She started learning Carnatic music under Umayanalloor Sri Govindharajan Sir and later through his disciple Sri Umayanalloor Prasad Sir. She has a passion for music from her young age. She had been able to prove her ability in many stages and win prizes. Her mother and grandfather are masters of the Bhagavad Gita. So she was able to demonstrate her knowledge in Purana recitation. She completed her BA in Music from Kollam Women's College and later obtained her MA in Music from the Department of Music, University of Kerala ( Karyavattom ). She also excelled in folk songs at Kerala University Art Festival. She served as a music teacher at Punalur Mary Giri Vidyamandir School, Kollam. She is now teaching face to face and online music classes in Chennai.

Aswathy Jayakumar

Ms Aswathy Jayakumar is an experienced Carnatic music teacher based in Wayanad, Kerala. She started her music career at the age of 6. Her first Guru was Shree Paravoor G.Devdas. She got many prizes for the Kerala state youth festival in her school and college days. Aswathy completed her BA music from Government College Chittur, Palakkad with a 1st rank, and she also had post-graduation in Carnatic music from Government Women's College, Trivandrum.
Aswathy also learned Veena, where her guru was Valiyasala Lalitha teacher. Aswathy pursued her post-graduation in Veena from RLV college Tripunithura with a 1st rank.
Her ambition is to become a Music lecturer at a tertiary level institution. Aswathy has ten years of experience taking Carnatic music lessons in both vocal and Veena for kids and teenagers in India and the Middle East. In addition, she is experienced in teaching music for Sharjah Music School.
Aswathy's gifted talent was recognised by the Kerala Government department for cultural affairs with the Diamond Jubilee Fellowship for Aspiring Artists in 2019. She is an optimistic person who enjoys teaching Carnatic music( vocal & Veena), light music, and devotional songs.

Meethu M S

Meethu. M.S is originally from Trivandrum, Kerala and is currently residing at Malappuram. She holds an M.Phil in Music from Madras University. She completed her BA Music from Swathi Thirunal College, Trivandrum and MA Music from Karyavattom Campus. She had been studying music from her childhood. Her first Guru was Sri. Parvatheepuram Padmanabha Iyer. Meethu has been working as Music teacher for the last 5years. She is an experienced performer and still continue performing.

Arun Antony

Arun Antony is an experienced Western Piano and Keyboard teacher based in Wayanad, Kerala. He is currently residing in Calicut. He is a Grade Holder of London Trinity College in Piano. He is trained in Piano and Keyboard from Master Sri. Joby George.
Arun has more than 6 years of experience in taking Western music lessons for kids as well as adults. He has been performing Piano and Keyboard for the past 20 years. He owns a music school named "AM Music Academy" and is also a resource person to teach the same in other institutions.

Akhila

Akhila is a Bharathanatyam teacher from Kollam, Kerala. She completed her graduation and post graduation in Mohiniyattam from Kerala Kalamandalam, A deemed university at Vallathol nagar, Thrissur, Kerala. She is a professional classical dance teacher specialised in Mohiniyattam & Bharathanatyam. She received O. N. V Kurup endowment for 1st rank in MA Mohiniyattam. She runs a dance school called Natyasree. She has been doing a lot of stage performances inside and outside Kerala.

Shyamkumar P

Shyamkumar is a versatile Guitar and Keyboard instructor who has been teaching various musical instruments for the last 26 years. He is currently working as an instructor with Kalabhavan, Kuwait and previously worked at Nalanda Public School, Cochin.. Shyamkumar worked as a music director for various malayalam movies and Television series such as Sthree Janmam. He received Asianet’s Best Music Director Award (1998).

Bhavana Umesh

Ms Bhavana is a passionate Carnatic Classical Musician who started learning music at the age of 6. She started giving music concerts at 15 years of age and had learnt Carnatic Classical Music by Dr Vid. BE Kamalkumar, Vid. Smt. Vasundhara Srinivasan, Dr Vid. Chinmaya M Rao and presently by Vid. Karthik Ganesh. She holds a Post Graduation in Carnatic Classical Music and s currently pursuing a PhD in Carnatic music. She has a teaching experience for the last 6 years. She had performed across the cities in Karnataka and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Andhrapradesh. She is also learning Light music and Gamaka for the past 10 years. She has been a part of Guinness world records in association with Veena Vani Music School for Republic day with 5000 singers in 2018 at Bangalore. She had performed for Shankara Channel, Basava TV, BTV Kannada and many other TV channels. Ms Bhavana is a passionate music teacher who loves to teach music to passionate learners. She can take lessons in English and Kannada.

Amrit G

Amrit is a Carnatic violinist who is passionate in teaching Carnatic Violin classes. He completed his BA violin from Chembai Memorial Government Music College, Palakkad. He was the top scorer in his batch. He is now studying MA violin in RLV College of Fine Arts, Ernakulam. He was originally trained under Dr.Sampath (All India Radio top A grade artist) and is currently a student of retired violin Prof. Swaminathan. Amrit is passionate in teaching the basics very well and all the needed skills for a good start along with advanced levels - Geetam , Varnams, and Keerthanas . Amrit has a great skill in being a good friend to his students more than a teacher.

P H Rajaraman

Mr P H Rajaraman is a Carnatic Music teacher from Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu and with over 15 years of experience. He had completed his MA and BA in Music from University of Madras, Chennai. He learnt from the legends like Sangeetha Kalanidhi B Rajam Iyer and Shri M K Sankaran Naboothiri. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Indian Music and received awards like Swami Vivekananda Award titled Yuva Shri Kala Bharathi. He had performed in many concerts and also got opportunities to playback singers like P Susheela. He is currently taking classes for Carnatic Music, Devotional music, Slogas, Film music, Bhajans, and Semi Classical Music. He ca take lessons in English and Tamil.

Vijeesh V G

Vijeesh V G is an experienced western Piano and Keyboard teacher based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He has more than 6 years of experience in taking Western music lessons for kids as well as adults. He completed his BPA Violin from Sri Swathi Thirunal College of Music Thiruvananthapuram. He is teaching Guitar & Carnatic Violin. He has been doing a lot of stage performances for the last 10 years inside and outside of Kerala.

A testament to her commitment to the art, Saraswathy has attained her Postgraduate degree in M.A Music from Sri Padmavathi Mahila Vishwa Vidyalayam, Tirupati, achieving an impressive third rank with a distinction of 80%. With a robust experience spreading across nearly 8 years, she has not only practiced and honed her musical skills but also dedicated herself to sharing her knowledge through teaching. Saraswathy is recognized as a 'B Grade' artist by All India Radio, Trivandrum, reflecting her proficiency and contribution to the field. She is adept at both online and offline modes of teaching, enabling her to extend her reach and influence as an educator in music.She can take classes in English,Tamil & Malayalam .

Aaron Mark

Mrs. Namitha Dev

Mrs Namitha Dev is a Carnatic vocalist from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She is learning Carnatic music under the guidance of Kerala Sangeethacharya Dr. B. Pushpakrishnan. Namitha learned Hindustani music for two and half years under Pandit Sree Ramesh Narayan. She is also learning musical instrument Veena. She performs Carnatic vocal concerts in various Sangeetha sabhas, Navarathri festival mandapams and in temple festivals. She gives vocal support for her guru Kerala Sangeethacharya Dr. B. Pushpakrishnan in concerts. She had completed MA in Music from Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She is a B Grade artist of All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram in Devotional and Light music sections. She performed in different Devotional Music albums and recently composed and sung a devotional song named “Bhadreyam”. She sung a song “Kalichum chirichum” for a movie, Ullasayathra with the Legendary singer Sri. K. J. Yesudas.

Sreekutty Rajeev

Sreekutty Rajeev is a Carnatic vocalist from Kollam district of Kerala. She started to learn Carnatic music at the age of four years under the late Ganabhooshanam Shaji K Sarangi. She completed her BA music at SN COLLEGE for Women Kollam. She also had post-graduation in Carnatic music from govt. women's college Trivandrum. She won Kalathilakkam in school kalolsavams. Apart from classical music, she performing sopana sangeetham, she is the deciple of Ranjith pisharady. Now she working as a music teacher at Trinity Lyceum Nantrickal, Kollam. She has 14 years of teaching experience.

Lalshmi Ganga

Lalshmi Ganga is a Carnatic Vocalist from Kollam, Kerala. She completed her BA music from Shri Swathi Thirunal Sangeetha College, Trivandrum) and MA Music from Department of Music, Kerala University Karyavattom campus, Trivandrum. She started learning music from the age of 4 years from eminent teachers such as Mohan Ram, Alleppey Sreekumar, Palkulangara Ambika Devi teacher, Omana Kutty teacher, and Govinda Rajan sir. She was a Youth Festival winner in school and Kerala University. She is interested in teaching Bhajans, film songs, Kavita, Mappila Pattu, devotional songs, light music, folk songs etc.

Ms Reshma L is a versatile Carnatic musician by heart. She is from Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala. She learnt Carnatic classical music from Smt. Dr.NJ Nandini, and Bhairavi MR. She was interested in learning music since her childhood. She later completed her BPA Music from Sri Swathi Thirunal College Of Music, Trivandrum and is currently doing MA in Music in Department of Music Kariyavattom Campus, Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram. Reshma  has more than 4 years of experience in taking Music lessons for kids and teenagers. Reshma has been taking Music lessons for many years at Kanakasabha Dance & Music  Academy and 1 year in Swaralaya School of Music.

Archana AG

Archana AG is a Carnatic music teacher based out of Trivandrum, Kerala. She has completed her BA Music from SN College for Women, Kollam and MA Music with 2nd rank from Department of Music, Karyavattom Campus, University of Kerala Trivandrum. She had been studying music from her childhood and her first guru was Sri Pranavam Madhu (Music director). Archana has been working as Music teacher for the last 10 years. She is conducting concerts for the past 8 years. She served as a music teacher at MGM international school, Kilimanoor. She often recited at All India Radio for various performances as Light Music, Classical Music, thiruvathirapattu etc.

Lekshmi Midhun

Lekshmi Midhun started learning Carnatic music from her early childhood. Her first guru was Dr Rani Udayakumar and later she got a great opportunity to learn music under the great musicians Dr Arundhati, Dr.Bhavana Radhakrishnan and Mrs Vanaja teacher while she did her BA in Music from SN women's college, Kollam. She was the winner of Devaraja sangeetham Competition held at Paravoor in the year 2010 and had won prizes in many other competitions. She is continuing her musical journey as a teacher in Swaralaya online Music school and in Jawahar public school Edava. She is also doing many live stage programs.

Devika

Devika is from Kollam, Kerala and completed her MA Music with 3rd rank from Sri Swathi Thirunal College, Trivandrum. She started learning music from the age of 7 years and learned from renowned gurus such as RLV Anitha Radhesh, Alleppey Sreekumar, Smt Lathika N Kumari, C Dharmajan, VT Sunil etc. she was a school kalolsavam winner and is a well experienced stage performer. She received a fellowship organised by Govt of Kerala and Dept of Cultural Affairs. She has been working as a music teacher in a reputed international CBSE school for last few years. She is experienced in teaching light music, film songs, bhajans, devotional songs, poems, mappila pattu, folk songs.

Shriya

Shriya is a versatile vocalist with extensive experience in Western, Carnatic, and light film music. She studied at Kalakshetra Foundation and completed a Diploma in Western Music Performance. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Western Music Performance at The Australian Institute of Music, Sydney. With 5 years of teaching experience, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others.
